Relatively nice day with mostly sunny skies and light winds at ridgetop.
Snowpack
Below treeline, the snowpack improves the higher you make it up the mountain. At lower elevations, recent storm snow has formed a barely supportable layer (if you have skis on) over weak facets. This layer thickens and gains strength until wind-affected snow takes over near treeline. Near and above treeline are a complete mixed bag due to the raging winds last week. I found thick, super-dense slabs, large wind-whales, and scoured weak snow on most leeward aspects(north and east). Anything windward (westerlies) was blown clean back to rock.
