12000’ E. BKN skies, temps in the high teens low twenties. Mod wind from the west, S-1 precip, and light blowing snow via saltation ATL.

Snowpack

NTL 11,500’: HS 100cm. HN 5cm. Snow fell on a semi supportable melt freeze crust that capped an upper pack of crust/facet combos, with 50cms of unsupportable facets below. Dry snowpack. Widespread scouring in the alpine. Snow remains mostly in gully features and on E facing aspects.

Avalanche

12100’ E aspect above watrous trees. SS-AS/r-D1-R1-I Slab arrested due to slope configuration, but fracture and propagation occurred.
