Travel was reasonably good. Some buried trees made for some deep postholing but 10-30 cm boot penetration was the norm. 2 size 1 dry sloughing in adjacent steep W facing couloirs from last storm (probably from cornice failure). November avalanche in the Nbowl makes for a thin snowpack with several rocks still showing. Lower bowl wind affected. With a temperature hovering aroung -30 with the wind chill and minor frostbite being an issue for our group of 3, we decided to head back and skin up the NE ridge for 1 short mellow run back down to our skin track. Top of the ridge choppy and wind affected, last 200m to our track offered decent snow but lacked the angle to make it fun. I expect conditions to get worst in the next couple days with the cold and wind remaining an issue.
