Weather

Above emerald lake: N-NE aspects. S: BKN. Wind: Mod Gusting Strong from Westerlies switching to Easterlies ~1:00pm. Mod to string BloSno. T: Teens. P: none.

Snowpack

Same location. ~3-5” was actively being transported by the wind, and was building/had built cohesive slabs in a variety of locations. Basically all gullies/ridge tops were suspect, and ground truthing is required to confirm exact distribution. There are certainly fully features that hold slabs large enough to produce a D2. We observed shooting cracks in the newly transported snow while moving through steeper terrain

Avalanche

We triggered two very small 3” wind slabs while descending the Tyndall ramp. One was on a convex roll, the other in a steep Rocky feature. Apologies for the lack of photos- it was chilly!
