Avalanche

Two recent Wet Slab avalanches off a southwest-facing slope below large cliff bands on Whitehouse Mountain above Yule Creek. This slope had a thinner snowpack than nearby areas and the large southwest-facing cliffs likely sped up the melting process pumping notable amounts of liquid water into the snowpack just below them.
