Weather

Windy in the alpine! Gusts to 40+mph, steady around 20mph, from the west. Really good freeze last night, south and east facing slopes near treeline didn't warm until almost noon.

Snowpack

Still cold snow on west face of Big Agnes, sun crust was only 2-4" thick. Facets below this for the next foot until more consolidated snowpack.

Avalanche

Quite a few recent (4/6?) D1-1.5 slab avalanches on wind deposited areas, Southeast facing, approx. 11,500'. Lots of wet loose out of every gulley on East, South and SW facing slopes.
