Weather

Broken skies, light winds with moderate gusts from the west. Very light intermittent snowfall. Light snow transport.

Snowpack

18" of settling snow below treeline. Snow is heavy. Widespread cracking and collapsing on N-E-SE slopes below treeline. Some cracks propagated hundreds of feet. A light crust on snow surface is forming on south aspects resting above a stout crust of about 6".

Avalanche

Three small avalanches observed on NE facing slopes below treeline. One small avalanche observed on a west facing aspect below treeline. These all appear to be several days old. One avalanche was remotely triggered from approx. 100' away. Small in size (D1.5) on a east facing slope below treeline. Crown was approx. 3ft tall. This slope was previously windloaded.
