A snowy and wintery morning. There was 5 inches on top of a crust on all aspects and most elevations. It's hard to tell if this was new snow in the last 24 hours or longer.
Snowpack
The new snow ranged from a few inches to deeper spots of up to a foot. I did not observe any signs of instability but I also did not gain the ridge where the wind was blowing. Above treeline the crust beneath the new snow is very firm and it seems like new snow is bonding well. Lower in elevation the crust is softer and above snow that has was previously wet and not yet refrozen. Small cracking around skis in this area but also supportable to skis and no large collapses osberved.
