Weather
Intermittent snowfall throughout tour, with obscured skies, low clouds and dropping temps throughout day.
Snowpack
30-40+cms of new snow above 10K. Came in right side up, with warmer denser snow on bottom. Most slopes in this area harbor some snow from the last two storms to close out October. On the sunnier aspects, this old snow was moist under the new snow, in the shadier pockets it was dry, larger-grained facets. In the highest north-facing pockets I travelled into, the new snow was exhibiting some localized cracking on the older weak snow.
Avalanche
None observed.
