It snowed all day with moderate to strong southwest winds. Temperatures remained mild.
Snowpack
Sunday's storm came in warm and windy. By the end of the day an estimated 8-10 inches of snow accumulated. Moderate to strong southwest winds drifted the new snow into stiff slabs on exposed slopes up to 18 inches thick. Under the new snow a mixture of wind-packed rounds, buried near-surface facets, and depth hoer persist. Compression tests showed weak-layers that exist in the upper meter of the snowpack, but those same weak-layers did not propagate in one long column test. 2-4 mm depth hoar persist near the ground this layer ranged from 20-60 cm's in depth.
