10cm of new snow made for some good riding, noted a slab release 40 cm down to a solid crust while skinning. New snow was sitting on a layer of surface hoar. Performed a extended column test. The 10cm failed on the first tap and the 40cm layer failed on the 15th. We stayed on mellow slopes and had a fun day.
