Weather

14 degrees and overcast with light winds gusting to moderate out of the northwest changing to partly sunny with light gusts.

Snowpack

Wind has pressed the snow into soft slab in open areas. A 3cm-5cm windskin sits above softer snow. Besides the top few cm the isn't much tension or cohesion in the HST. Ski pen is 25-45cm. The soft slab is almost skiable most places. Below treeline snow was moist at the surface on all aspects by the afternoon.

Avalanche

Several loose dry point releases in the top 20cm of HST from steep east facing slopes above treeline were visable. Two small R1D1 soft slabs had pulled out on a north east aspect above treeline.
