Weather
Warm, full sun, no clouds, no wind. Berthoud pass north facing slop, started at reeling and transitioned at 12,000 ft.
Snowpack
Packed powder on lower elevations, crusted over. Softer snow for fresh tracks on north facing slopes above tree line. Lots of falling pinwheels at all elevations.
Avalanche
Looked like wet loose slides that may have been triggered. Above tree line on steep faces greater that 40 degrees. Larger cornices looked ready to fall.
