Rawson Lake

Temp: -5.5 celsius (0930 at the car) Conditions: Mix of sun a cloud with light flurries. Light wind with some gusting. Comments: A quick hike up to Rawson for some fitness. I always wondered about skiing off of sarrail ridge, so I thought I could also scope it out. Lots of dry loose coming off Mount Sarrail’s face, some even reaching the back end of the lake (Sz 1). Recently slide activity was observed on sarrail ridge as well. The trail up was well packed/trafficked with no need for snowshoes.
