Winds were strong and cross-loading the knolls above Shames today. Steeper and more convex features were reactive. Skier triggered size 1 on the first pitch of one of the knolls, as well as whumphing and shooting cracks. There’s about 20cm, maybe 25 of new snow on supportive crust + winds at ridgetop. Skiing was excellent in non cross-loaded areas and sheltered slopes.
