Sky Pilot

We went up towards the west ridge of sky pilot. On the way we noticed numerous wet loose point releases on all aspects (sz 1-1.5). The snow was punch crusty in the morning which turned heavier towards the end of the day. When bootpacking, we easily sunk 20-30cm. New snow from storm earlier this week seemed well consolidated. We found some graupel from 1600-1700m, but it seemed to be sintering well. It was cloudy all day long, which gave us confidence to stay out and about a little longer.
