Black Prince

Skied the trees skiers right of the top of the skin track and dropped into the drainage (skiers right) below treeline for some amazing turns. On the second lap dug a pit at the top of the skin track (alpine) to assess layers, soft snow for 20cm on a hard layer, likely recent wind affected, followed by consolidated snow down to 1.8/2m then a heavily faceted weak layer at the base. When isolated the column slipped from the faceted weak layer instantly and without applying any force.
