-Frequent whumpfing SE to SW aspects. We think it was settlement of facetted snow below a 1-3cm crust. -2× Shooting cracks 5m*5m on steeper S aspect closer to rockier sections. We add to change the approach strategy big time... -Small pockets of wind slab along Monk ridge. -Dry loose 15cm deep on steeper part of run between Monk and Muffin. Enough energy to destabilize skier. Did not step down on other layer. -We felt AVI risk was considerable(+) on our itinerary and managed our terrain accordingly.
