Forum ridge

We dug a pit on the east slope just below the top of the ridge. 25 cm of fresh, very light powder on top of older well-bonded snow. No sign of instability. Our only concern was sloughing from the new powder. But the skiing was fantastic and we didn't have any issues. We could still feel some wind slabs under the fresh snow in the open so we stuck to the burned trees. Best snow conditions we got this year so far!
