I could rarely see above TL, maybe a slab under the cornice on the east facing bowl above Buckeye, hard to tell, thought I could make out some big blocks. Lot of wind off the ridges.
Snowpack
Did a pit (70 cm) on a low angle ESE aspect in an open park in the trees....ECTP19 Q1 on the ice crust on top of the October snow. The crust was easy 2" thick, in places 4" thick and anchored well to the ground. There was 5 cm of 3 mm facets on top of the crust. Will be hard to get rid of it. CT also Q1 think 12 taps. Minimal cracking and collapse during the tour. RB score of 3, Q1, popped right off the ice crust. There was also a thin wind crust under the 4" of newer snow, but couldn't get anything to go off it. There was a crust on westerly aspects too, but not much snow. Some nice tracks dropping in off to the west of the tour in a gully feature. Looked like some good turns to be had, but I got way to frozen to even think along those lines. The trail in was fine with skins on, brutal coming out....very thin and lots of rocks
