Very windy over high mountain peaks.

Snowpack

Average snowpack depth 30-55cms. Most notable potential weak layer is surface hoar 1-5mm present on all sheltered slopes below and near treeline. One profile and numerous quick pits showed ~20cms of faceting precip particles (F)at surface, overlying ~30cms of decomposing fragmented particles (4F) to ground. Depth hoar found only around rocks and scrub on North aspects near treeline.
