Snowpack
On a NE aspect at 11000 we observed a 80 cm deep snowpack. On the surface were a few cms of near surface facets and 3-6mm surface hoar. The upper 40cm of the snowpack was F-1F small rounded and decomposing grains. Then, there is a fine grey line seperating the upper slab, and the bottown 30-40cm of 4F facets. We had RB4 (sudden collapse, sudden planar) failure at that interface, and were also able to easily pull out pieces of slab in hand pits along the way. We had a couple isolated collapses in small open meadows, with our largest collapse being in a meadow near the creek below the Markely Hut at aprox. 10400 where via pole probing the slab felt the weakest.
Avalanche
WL-N-D1-R1, likely ran yesterday near some rocks at the bottom of the last avalanche path going up towards the Markley Hut.
