Witnessed a R1.5D2 skier triggered avalanche above tree line below the summit in a sw aspect around 1500 on Sunday , January 18th. Avalanche stopped at tree line very high in the track and did not enter the gully feature. Appeared a party of 4 was I the vicinity and could not ascertain if any one was caught in the slide. The avalanche was witnessed from the base at Copper Mountain and reported to the ski patrol immediately after I could see a skier zig zagging the bed surface in the start zone. Witnessed 4 individuals ski one at a time in pitches through the gully approximately ten minutes after the triggered avalanche occurred.
