Snowpack

Dug around on all aspects BTL&NTL looking for recently buried surface hoar. Found it about 30cm down in several sheltered northerly places. Difficult shear, without a stiff slab above. Couldn't find it in wind effected or southerly areas. South aspects had a thin sun crust and no surface hoar to be found. SH was spotty and unreactive. Evidence of some wind drifting on N & W aspects, slabs soft and no obvious signs of instability.
