Weather

The day began mostly sunny and mild, but thickening high clouds and breezy conditions cooled things off after noon.

Snowpack

There was about an inch of new snow (mostly graupel) from yesterday's storm, but it quickly melted with daytime warming, except in shady areas. A significant layer of dust now coats the snow surface- deposited by yesterday's fierce southwesterly winds. Near and above treeline areas are heavily wind effected.
