Skies were few increasing to broken, mostly thin. Winds were in the teens backing from NW to W, with gusts reaching the 30’s. Minor snow transport. Temps rose to 31°F at 10,000 ft and 18°F at 12,000 ft.
Snowpack
Storm snow has settled to half of its original height. Snow is wind affected above 11,000 ft, with sastrugi or thin windslabs, and signs of overnight snow transport. Below 11,000 feet, meltfreeze crusts on SE through SW aspects. Ski cut on small windslab below a ridgeline on SE aspect, ~6†deep; failed just above the March 8 meltfreeze crust. (SS-ASc-R1-D1-I)
