Snowpack

The latest rounds of snow that has fallen since our last significant warm-up is beginning to shed off of the old surface. Most places it is shallow (4-8") but as the picture shows in middle commodore, some places it is a bit deeper. So far, the old melt/freeze layer is still staying frozen and supportive, until you get below 10,000' or so in elevation where the snowpack is isothermal and it having a hard time supporting weight on skis.
