Weather

Low level clouds and fog had the North Fork valley and the south side of the Mesa socked in. On top skies were clearing, and on the north side, orographically driven snow showers continued. 2" since 6 am. Light NW winds were moving a little snow.

Snowpack

Several inches of new snow topped the thick melt-freeze crusts that exist in most areas on the Mesa. The Cliffs is still holding a fair bit of snow, and has a thinner crust, but is transitioning to a more spring-like snowpack. Island Lake continues to consolidate and melt. Lots of talus showing, but still enough coverage to provide a bed surface for loose slides under the right conditions.
