Snowpack

Just got onto some really rotten snow in the canyon. North facing, deeply faceted and very weak. Very large facets topped with 2-4 in. of surface hoar. Felt very uncomfortable on a couple of different slopes and traversed out to more treed areas. I would expect lots of movement on unskied slopes if we ever see a significant load.
