More sunshine, warm temps and thin cloud cover today teamed up to keep the snowpack extra warm. This recipe resulted in a couple of wet-loose slides out of Mother Cline around 1pm today (3.5’ x 35’ on centerline). Another slide reached the road south of the snowshed at around 7:30pm (3’-4’ x 25’ on centerline). As of 7pm, temperatures above treeline were still reading 35 to 40 deg F. Cloud cover assures another warm night and an increasingly stressed snowpack.
