Snowpack

We saw the path/debris pile from about 1km away, and the toe was impressive, probably 4+m deep, and appeared to go liquid at the bottom as it fell into an adjacent drainage. See pic. Dug one pit on a low-angle easterly aspect, and although there was about 6" of depth hoar, the 1m snowpack was sitting right on top of it with little air space.
