Weather

Gusty west winds with increasing elevation, with some drifting. Periods of moderate snow with heavier showers/squalls.

Snowpack

Variable snow depth. In favored, cross/top-loaded paths depth was near 150cm. Nearby, along the margins of paths, depth was as shallow as 40cm. Lots of rocks, snow-dusted tundra, in close proximity to fat, loaded pockets and wind features. Shooting cracks observed in new storm snow on our descent, ~10cm in depth. ATL,11,620', E. aspect, 35 deg, 12:00pm, HS70) ECTP21, down 63cm, on 1-2mm depth hoar, ECTX.
