Weather

broken clouds with a lot of blue sky showing, warm temps, winds still moving snow on north end of zone at ridgeline, but we never made it that far.

Snowpack

In the 9000-10,000' on a NW aspect where we were, the snow pack had a refrozen crust that was supporting us first thing, but upon descending 2 hours later I was beginning to break through into a rotten, isothermal snowpack (with skis on).
