Great conditions on Jimmy Jr today. Clear skies with a -23c start! ~15cm of new snow on a supportive crust made for easy travel. A bit of surface hoar was forming but seemed to bake off from the sun. Did 2 tests at ~2350m SE before the first steep roll. HS 80cm -CTH27 uneven break and CTH24 uneven break - both 35cm down on crust. My partner got CTN. His HS was 130cm. We noted no signs of instability, and didn't see any recent avalanches anywhere. Ski quality was good to very good starting a few turns below the summit block. The exit gully was a bit of a rodeo but wasn't too peppery. A fantastic day out. Get it!
