Skied up the Armchair Glacier to 2375m. The whole way up we observed mashed potato snow with a breakable crust of varying thickness sitting on top. The snow under the crust got dryer as we climbed but the crust got thicker. Probably around 1 inch at its thickest. Pretty wind affected higher up. Not much fun to ski. Much more fun laughing at your friends trying to ski it.
