Clear sunny day up at the pass. Was warm in the sun from about 10am onwards, causing tree bombs and some solar effect through the day on lower elevation sunny slopes. Light SW ridge top winds were keeping surfaces cooler higher up and it stayed cool in the shade. Noticed some wet loose sluffs coming out of steep rocky solar aspects. No recent avalanches sighted. Widespread 3mm+ surface hoar formations were noted in sheltered and shaded areas
