Upper section of the couloir: slight wind effect, 2 to 4 cm of 1-finger wind slab over 25 cm of 4-finger snow, compact underneath. Skis catch slightly in the turns. Middle section of the couloir: evidence of a loose dry slab slide on skier’s left (originating from one of the small gully on skier’s left). On skier’s right, 15 to 25 cm of 4-finger snow over 25 cm of 1-finger snow. Excellent conditions with solid contact and support. Lower section of the couloir: 25 to 35 cm of fist recent fresh snow over 25 cm of 4-finger snow. Incredible powder turns! Some spindrifts observed. No visible cornices at the top of the couloir or on the surrounding ridges. No signs of new dry loose avalanches. Wind was light throughout the day. A skin track has been established all the way to the summit, with a 50 m bootpack section in the middle of the couloir.
