Good skiing on the Hero Knob Loop today with few tracks. 20cm of sugary facets over a progressively dense midpack. Pole probing you can feel a widespread P hardness slab down approximately 60cm and collapsing sugar below. No signs of instability today but evidence of several sz 2.5-3 avalanches on E,N,W aspects during the last storm with runouts to near valley bottom. Sugarey down low in the reeds but pleasantly surprised by ski quality on sheltered N slopes in the ALP.
