Weather

Mostly clear skies, brisk northerly winds, warm temperatures at Pass level, cooler up high in the wind. Snowfall ended yesterday evening. Storm total of 19" and a snowdepth of 16" at the CAIC Snow Study Plot, 10,900'.

Snowpack

Storm began with high density 14% snow and ended with about 10-15cm of lower density snow. Good supportable riding conditions where sufficient coverage exists. Widespread surface hoar formation, 5mm typical.

Avalanche

Temperatures warmed enough to cause some D1-1.5 loose snow activity in the surface snow on sunny aspects, E-S near and below TL.
