Treeline @ 9:30 a.m.: sunny and cool (approx. 15F), calm winds with some light gusts.

Snowpack

3-4 inches of new/drifted snow on top of 3-5 inch sun crust on south aspects. New snow was cold & dry. Sun crust sitting on top of layer of weak faceted snow; this crust/facet layer would probably be a layer of concern on steep slopes.

Avalanche

Did not see avalanches. East aspects above treeline and directly below ridges/cornices were loaded up.
