Bluebird day with clear visibility in all directions. No blowing snow even at the highest elevations could be seen
Snowpack
The snowpack is very thin, less than 50 centimeters and consists of mostly unsupportive facets and 5 centimeters of basal depth hoar. Below 5 to 10 centimeters of recent snow, pockets of 1 finger to pencil hard wind slab can be found on north through northeast-facing slopes. These slabs seem to be degrading and are only supportable in limited terrain features. The snowpack is resting on 5 centimeters of 5-7mm depth hoar that produces easy propagating extended column tests ECTP7
Avalanche
Multiple shallow wind slab avalanches on east through northeast-facing slopes above treeline near Mountain Boy. These likely ran around 11/24 or 11/25. One looked like it stepped into the deeper weak layers near the ground.
