Snowpack
Shallow and variable. Though I did not travel much above treeline, it was obviuos that recent strong winds have redistributed much of the snow that fell yesterday, scouring fetches and loading lee features. Near treeline the wind effect was not as pronunced, though snow depth varied considerably dependent on aspect relative to wind. I did not observe any signs of instability during my travels. A snow pit profile from an east aspect near treeline is included with this observation.
