ACC trip to do the Viking to sugarbowl traverse. We started skinning up the Viking trail around 8am, with progressively harder trail breaking as the storm snow got deeper and the temperature for colder. Lots of wind effect on the ridge, but still very skiable. We avoided loaded and open slopes for safer travel. Decided to turn back and skied back down to the Viking Meadows in awesome powder. Viking trees had heavier and heavier conditions as temps were higher. We didn't see any signs of instability.
