Shallow snowpack area below ridge top. 32 degree slope. CTM 13,16 (SC) on depth hoar (2-4mm) down 55. 2 out of 2 tests. One test performed without cutting the back of the column to test bridging strength of crust above the depth hoar. Both failed in moderate range with sudden collapses. ECTP 13 down 55 on depth hoar. Column cash registered out on us. Base of the snowpack is very rotten. Had to double take to make sure I hadn’t walked into the rockies.
