calm winds and clear skies with high, light clouds moving in late afternoon. temps mid 20s throughout the day.

Snowpack

snowpack here is still thin and sensitive. hasty pits throughout day demonstrated activity with minimal shear effort @ approx 40 cm down. dug pit on 25° E aspect @ 9500' BTL. HS 90 cm. one CTM (18) and one CTM (16) - both Q1 @ 45 cm down on facets sitting above melt/freeze layer. one ECTP (12) @ 45 cm down failed on same facets. several whoomphs on E aspects throughout afternoon. no cracking observed.
