Snowpack
Thick slabs of hard snow are perched on top of weak snow at the top of all leeward slopes, basically anything facing north to east and southeast. The thickest hard slabs are on east aspects. The wind has consolidated the snow into limited areas and it is hard packed. I did not experience widespread cracking or collapsing, and recent natural activity was confined to small sluffs of new snow that ran overnight in the steepest terrain. Above treeline west aspects are scoured to the ground.
