Weather
Was snowing from when I arrived around 8:30 to around 12. Clouds began to lift with intermittent looks at a nice blue sky Temperatures warmed throughout the day. I didn't have a thermometer nearby but the snow got gloppy and thick and stuck to my skis when I skied out. Gusty winds from the east
Snowpack
As per the forecast, easterly slopes were windloaded and still loading. Got some cracks ski cutting a 30-35 degree east facing slope (point marked on map). I couldn't get anything to slide at those angles though. Across most sunny aspects this new snow rested on a crust that I could feel while skinning and by probing the snow with my ski pole. What was lighter, fluffier snow is now more settled from the temperature and wind.
Avalanche
Saw what seemed to be two recent avalanches in the chutes on the ridge. Also saw the big one that was reported a couple days ago.
