Snowpack

No class 1 data was observed prior to the avalanche. 1-3" of new snow at trail head. There were varying amounts of wind deposited snow on the route ranging from 3" to ~15" in depth. Depth increased with elevation. Crown depth was approx. 1-2 feet and ~100' wide.

Avalanche

South facing. D2 R2 at ~13,500. Ran ~800' - 1000'. Triggered ~50' above skier. Skier was able to traverse left and was not carried/buried.
