SnowpackThomas White ยท Feb 26, 2022
Weather
It was a bluebird day with light winds. No new precipitation. Snow transport was light even at the ridge tops. Snow from the last storm seems to have all been moved.
Snowpack
The snowpack was variable through the terrain: E aspects: wind loading was variable, my pit location had quite a bit but nearby slopes still had soft snow S aspects: 30 cm of new snow on top of solar crusts NE aspects: good wind transport of low density snow and firm mudpack My pit had reactive wind slaps at the surface and very reactive midpack layers around MF crusts and deeper wind slabs.
