Winds were light at all elevations. No drifting snow was observed. Storm snow from the last 48 hours is about 12 inches. There wasn't much accumulating snow during the day today.
Snowpack
On south-facing slopes we found 10 to 12 inches of recent snow on top of a very thin melt-freeze crust that formed Tuesday night. Below that was another 12 inches of snow from last weekend. This is all on top of an impenetrable melt-freeze crust from our early March warm-up. No signs of instability observed.---On a northeast-facing below treeline slope, we found a snowpack 274 cm deep. Down 60 cm was a melt-freeze crust from early March. Faceting was not observed around this crust. No propagation either in tests. The other notable layer was 110 cm down from the surface. This is faceted crystals, four-finger hard, that were buried in mid to late February. No ECT results on this layer. A non-standard cross PST test had a result of 40/90 END. There was a dust layer 90 cm from the surface but there no faceting around the dust and nothing notable about this layer.
